Ever since Senior Aurors Jones and Tonks told me I was to be Tonks' trainee at dinner the other day, I have been on pins and needles. I've wanted to tell someone, but the other trainees are out because I'm not supposed to know, and Granddad just smirked at me when I tried to talk to him about it. My grandparents just smiled and said something like "Isn't that nice" when I told them.
I can't even go in and talk to Tonks about it, because it'll look strange to the others.
It's really quite frustrating.
Speaking of frustrating, I've been sort of seeing L. He's cute -- both physically and personality-wise -- and he's been nothing short of a gentleman, but I do wish he'd touch me. He seems to think that he needs to keep his distance. No hand holding, no arm slung around my waist... Nothing. When all of the other trainees and I went out for drinks, he did get a little touchy-feely, but that was ruined when we got back to the farm and he couldn't see it.
He doesn't seem to be frightened off by Granddad, anyway. That's a good sign.
Come to think of it, maybe he is afraid of Granddad. That might explain things.
